Morticus provides some clarification about his design intent for profession hats:
"At that time I made a conscious decision to only create profession hats for sub-classes that would attain the new appearance. Instead of creating, say, a Guardian helm and slapping an old vanguard plate appearance on it, I decided to wait until the new hats came in. Personally, as a gamer, I would have been upset had I went into a dungeon and attainted a unique item that looked like a recycled piece of armor. Who wouldn't? Isn't the look of an item half of its coolness?"
It has been a known issue that Enigma of the Sage, volumes 1 and 2 have lacked recipes. This has caused a bit of consternation with our friends in Sagely circles. Illucide shares some good news though:
"As a follow-up to this issue specifically, I took care of the two books in question earlier today. The recipes should go in with GU31."
In case you missed her post about it, Owlchick is moving to a new team within SOE, but will not be leaving the EQII community behind:
"They say it takes a village to raise a child. Well, it takes a community to breathe life into an MMO. You guys are awesome and I'm going to miss being one of the evil red names on these boards."
Good luck with the new team! You will be missed.
