How long have you worked for SOE?
I started in July of 2006. It's almost my one year anniversary!
How did you get the job?
Prior to applying, I had never heard of the title "Community Relations Representative" and was curious what it was. I did a lot of searching online and came across SOE's website. I applied online and was called in for an interview. I was excited to learn more about the job and see the people who work at SOE, so the interview was fun.
Where were you working before starting in the game industry? I worked for a few manufacturing companies here in San Diego. One was a Japanese company and the other one was a U.S. company. I worked in the marketing department for both companies, doing market research, creating customer databases, and attending trade shows. I like my current job the best!
What do you like most about this job?
I like being able to communicate with the players directly in the forums and also at events like Fan Faire and Summits.
Do you have a rule you live by? A motto?
I always try to keep in mind the can-do spirit. I enjoy challenging new things.
Where are you from? How long have you lived in the USA? I came from a small town in Japan. I've been living in the U.S. since the summer of 2001.
What do you like about living in the USA? I like the freedom here in the U.S. and I also like driving much faster on freeways! In Japan the speed limit is 50MPH!
What do you miss most about your country? I miss my family and friends a lot! I definitely don't miss Japanese rush hour trains!
What do you enjoy doing most? I love traveling and nature so I enjoy visiting national parks in the U.S. I also enjoy going to the baseball games during the summer time! Go Padres! I'm very sad that Dave Roberts is no longer with the team.
What is your favorite food? I love Thai food a lot. I can eat it everyday!
Cheesecake or chocolate cake?
Cheesecake!
