Profile
- Real life first name: Natashia
- Main Character name: Tashiana
- Server: Runnyeye
- Guild: Children of War
Where in the real life world do you live? I live in Stockholm the capital of Sweden. I have been living here for about eight years and before that I lived in Songkhla Thailand.
What type of work do you do? I am afraid I don't do much work since I am a student and not just that I am pretty lazy too.
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I love multi player games. It is much more fun to play with other players then alone against a computer. The first computer game that I did enjoy was The Sims. I loved to dress them up and have them interact with the other toons. I miss some of The Sims part in EQII but guess I am pretty lonely in that.
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing EQII? Oh dear I guess I have a bit too many things on my calendar. In the summer I spend most time in our sailing boat. When its not sailing season I dance two times a week and swim three. I don't know how many times I have been running all the way home in the winter to be in time for a raid and when I get home and look in the hall mirror my hair is frozen into taps of ice.
What other MMOs have you played? I might be a bit uncertain of the term MMO actually but it is rather easy to list all multi player games I have played.
I did play battlefield 1942 then I found Anarchy online. I still remember my first hour there stumbling around in a thick fog and I couldn't understand how on earth peoples could see where they where running…. then I found the out the option to increase the view distance from 5% to 100%... OMG I can see!!
Then I played Guild Wars before I did try out Everquest II. I have tested the LOTHR on the open beta and Wow for the free trial. But that's about all the games I have played.
How long have you played EQII? Oh my I guess it is almost three years soon! How time flies!
How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQII? I usually can log on about 8pm. As soon as I feel I am done with my reading or after I get home from swimming. Then I play for about 3 to maybe 5 hour depending on how much fun it is.
What does a typical EQII day consist of for you? Can't say I have a typical EQII day. I usually log in, ask around in the guild and see if anyone needs any help or if there is some guild work that needs to been take care of. I read my mail and check my sales. By now I usually have a group or raid if not I spend some time looking at the broker if I can find some nice clothes or go out farming some nameds in BM or LP. Since I never have any money some extra gold is always welcome.
What was the race and class of your very first character? I think my first try was a human priest on the trial island. But when I did buy the game I started with my main witch then was a wood elf priest and later on choose the templar path.
But I was a bit afraid for her to leave the trial Island so I rolled a barbarian fighter that I used to explore and look in that scary new part of the world beyond the island.
What is your highest level in EQII? That would be my main Tashiana level 70 templar level 70 tailor with 100 AA.
What race and class is your main character? A wood elf templar.
What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character? I was pretty sure I would like to play a priest when I did start playing EQ2. I prefer healing classes but some how I always try to turn them into rather good soloers as well. Some times I hate the templar class with so few utilities and slow cast speed, their feeble damage output and the restricted weapon choice. But then in a group when the things turn really ugly I just love being a templar. The amount of healing and ability to keep my friends alive in their darkest hour just make it all worth it.
Does your main character worship a deity? Can't say she really does. I did the quest and got the cloak but can't say I really know much about Tunare even now.
How did you choose your main character's name? Guess it is not too hard to see. Natashia was taken and so where Tash. So some tinkering and Tashiana and Anaihsat were borne. The good and the bad.
Which classes in EQII have you NOT played? I have tested a lot but can't say have actually have played the mage classes. I always feel magic is a bit to complicated for me I really don't know why I just feel that way.
What is your favorite expansion? I love the EoF expansion. I loved that they didn't raise the level cap but introduced lots of fun new things like the second AA line the new types of class armor. Unrest is so well done I just love the letter one did get when you got home.
What is your favorite zone? That would be New Tunaria not due to the quests but due to the looks. I really wish there where some way players could have a place like that as home city. I feel the developers have captured how a elven stronghold would look like. I am just sad that it wasted as a hack and slash area and that it is so put aside.
What is your favorite npc? I can't say I have a favourite npc.
Which expansion do you like the least? Ok this is unfair but I probably will like ROK the least since the new 10 levels that I am pretty sure is just about doing same things over again. But I might well be wrong. If it turns out I will be I do apologize in advance.
Which zone do you like the least? Loping Plains, it's so crowded with brainless beings walking back and forth with no meaning. One can't run past with out a train of them following. I serious would like fewer mobs in most zones. But then I not so found of hack and slash either.
Which npc do you like the least? Rotweed! I will never forgive him ever! Evil old tree being mean to newbie's.
What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? Not sure it was the most but it was the most stupid buy I've done…so far.
One day when EoF had just gone live I happened to see some odd shoulder parts on the broker. It seemed like they had some strange text but it probably had 6 different enchantments. The sixth gave the wearer 33% cast speed. OMG I must have them! Ok let's see 13 plat. No way do I have that amount of money. So I borrowed some from my wealthy friends and boughtt them. Lucky me! I am so bad!! 33% cast speed I just have to try that out. So I spend some time in QH casting heals and looking at the timer. Ehm… strange… hmm… read the description more carefully… hmm… could the (6) be that one needs 6 parts of the armour? Ah well I now have repaid the loan.
Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? I will always keep my little kerra doll, my blood rose and my nice Qeynos citizen ring.
What do you like best about EQII? I think it's my friends and the atmosphere. I love riding over green fields while the rain falls or looking out over the sea when the sun rises.
What do you get out of playing EQII? I don't watch TV at all I don't think and just rarely watch films. I guess EQII is my entertainment for non real adventures.
Describe your best experience from playing EQII? I think it was when two of my friends in real life and I decided to start out with new toons. One wanted to play an evil char and since we wanted to keep the group together we rolled evil toons as well. Pretty soon the one that originally wanted an evil toon tired and there we where stranded. So we decided to betray to Qeynos. These were our second toons and neither of us had ever been outside Commonlands or Antonica. We had loads of fun planning and gathering equipments and stuff before we betrayed. This was in the good old days when betrayal was hard and running through the forest was deadly for our poor low level toons.
Do you run or work for an EQII Fan Site? Sorry no but I did a few films on youtube from EQII .
