Feerrott Zone Review - Recommended level 35 – 45
Welcome to the jungle, or, as it's officially called, the Feerrott. This is one of the big tier 5 Overland zones reached from the docks of Thundering Steppes. Right there at the beach to both sides of where you arrive, the Huuptic are marking their presence, who could resist to get some experience from testing their weapons against them? Through a short tunnel you will reach the actual jungle, which covers the biggest part of the zone. If you're from Qeynos or Kelethin you best head along the right side wall until you see a small encampment with various npcs, plenty of quests wait there. For the folks from Freeport and Neriak there is a similar area, but they would be advised to follow the wall to their left as they come out of the tunnel. Following the left wall is not only for those evil aligned seeking quests, it's also one of the possible ways towards the Overrealm.
Just because the Feerrott is mostly covered by a jungle doesn't mean you have to get lost, the various rivers and roads that are laid out throughout the zone are a good help in navigating in the area. Sooner or later you will come across a opening in a wall where a small river flows through, if you go through that opening you will discover a area that's filled with more creatures, there will be no more lizardman like before, but, there will be some strange stonebuilt enemies in addition to the normal creatures that mark their presence throughout the entire zone. One of those is to be avoided though, he goes by the name of Vaz'Gok the Cursed, his hobby is sending unwary adventurers to the revive point over at the temple.
You will have spotted that temple already though, it's the Temple of Caciz Thule. It's a dungeon for groups in the 40's. If your level 70 and run that far, not all hope is lost though, as the Shard of Fear is close, just past the little lake.
If you prefer staying outside, there can often be three named NPCs around in the area: Agony, who drops a Heritage Quest starter along the normal loot, Silent Wing and the Manticore Terror Lord.
Feerrott is also my favorite Zone for harvesting in Tier 5, plenty of all types of nodes can be found throughout most areas of the zone. There are also plenty of shinies to be had, however a big part of them are for Tome Collections and they ain't too easy to complete.
