- Main Character name: Longhopper
- Server: Runnyeye
- Guild: The Dragons Eyes
Where in the real life world do you live? Twickenham, England
How long have you played EQII? Since it first came out.
What other MMOs have you played? EverQuest & Earth and Beyond.
What type of work do you do? I'm a Mastering Engineer at Eidos in their QA Dept.
How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQII? Anywhere between 2 - 5 hours a day.
What does a typical EQ day consist of for you? Depending on where I camped, I'll try and check the broker. I'm currently in the process of clearing out old quests with all my toons and also building up the crafting levels by completing writs. I also spend a lot of time harvesting for the raws needed.
What was the race and class of your very first character? Rockatansky, a wood-elf ranger currently on AB.
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I've been playing games since I got my first computer, a BBC Micro. My main love was football management until I discovered rpgs.
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing EverQuest II? I'm a member of BAFTA so I spend a lot of time watching films and I love to read when I get the chance. I am currently reading a Shadowrun series.
What is your highest level in EQII? 54 adventuring and 57 tradeskilling
What race and class is your main character? Froglok Illusionist
What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character? I find it very useful having a pet (Spacehopper) to help me during those times that I'm soloing whether it be questing or harvesting.
Does your main character worship a deity? Not at the moment as I haven't decided which one to go for.
How did you choose your main character's name? I thought it was appropriate as a frog name; the wife's toon is called Shorthopper.
Which classes in EQII have you NOT played? Brigand, Bruiser, Coercer, Conjuror, Defiler, Dirge, Inquisitor, Monk, Mystic, Necromancer, Templar, Warden, Warlock and Wizard.
What is your favorite expansion? Echoes of Faydwer, it brought back lots of memories of when I first started on Everquest.
What is your favorite zone? Timorous Deep, it's a fantastic zone to learn in and you don't feel as restricted as you do with the original beginners zone.
What is your favorite npc? A Gigglegibber Goblin Gamblin' Game Vendor, I like to have a gamble every now and then.
What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? About 2 plat for a horse, I'm usually very tight with money and always on the look out for bargains.
Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? I've got so much junk floating around in all the various storage boxes I have, I wouldn't know where to start. Maybe EQ2 should introduce 'The Big Yellow Storage Company' to help me out.
What do you like best about EverQuest II? I like the fact that there is so much content within the game, I'm not one of these players that has to finish a zone or quest before anyone else. I like to take my time and enjoy the surroundings.
What do you get out of playing EverQuest II? I like to immerse myself in the game and forget about RL for a while.
Describe your best experience from playing EverQuest II. I don't get the chance to be involved in raid groups that often but the last time I was, I ended up being MT with my guardian and was nervous because I didn't want to let the rest of the guys involved down. It was a good adrenalin rush and I was very happy when we defeated the named without losing anyone.
Do you run or work for an EverQuest II Fan Site? I don't have the skills to be involved in websites, it's difficult enough sorting out the guild website.
