Help! I can't find my characters?
In the past, both EverQuest and EverQuest II have had server merges / consolidations to manage server populations. If your account was inactive during this time you may not have been aware of this and your character may have been moved to another server. If you still cannot find your characters after trying the suggestions below, please petition for further assistance.
- For EverQuest: If the server has been merged please see this list to determine the server your character would have been transferred to: Characters under level 10 that had not been logged in for over 6 months were purged during the consolidation.
- For EverQuest II: Check to make sure you are in the correct Region: In the top right hand corner of the EverQuest II EULA screen you have the option to change your region, depending on where you play.
-UK servers: Splitpaw and Runnyeye
-FR server: Storms
-DE servers: Innovation and Valor
-JP server: Sebilis
All other servers are in US region. Note: if you played on any of our European PvP servers, those characters were consolidated to Venekor in the US region. We do not suggest that you use the drop down character select screen upon your first login after an extended absence. Select Play with the "Select Character" option on the drop down menu to view all characters on your character select screen. Once you have successfully logged in the first time, your character cache will be updated and you will be able to use the quick character login.
I found my characters but never wanted to be on this server, can I transfer?
- EverQuest: We will move characters if they were on the Stormhammer server to the server of the players choosing; but we have no plans otherwise for free server transfers. If this applies to you, please petition a GM to recover and transfer your character. Please remember to specify which server you would like to be moved to.
- EverQuest II: In the past, we have preformed some server consolidations in order to better manage our server's population. If your character was on another server and you last played prior to February 2006 your original server may not be available. See this article for more information on our 2006 server merges.
Players who wish to make use of our Character Transfer Service can find it them on our website. EverQuest CTS - EverQuest II CTS
My character name has an X on it now. How can I fix it?
- EverQuest: If you are participating in this promotion, please petition for assistance and we will attempt to remove the X if possible. If your original name is not available, customer service will assist you with finding a new name. Please review our EverQuest Naming Policy prior to the GM flagging your character for a name change.
- EverQuest II: If your character was originally created on another server and were moved as part of a server consolidation, you may have the ability to rename your character. Type /rename along with your requested new name. If you are not able to use the rename command, please petition a GM for assistance. When submitting your petition, please include which server your character was created on if you can. Please review our EverQuest II Naming Policy prior to submitting your request.
