As a reminder for this weekend's Guild Recruitment Fair, we have a couple of news items we wanted to highlight:

First, the Guild Recruitment listing has been updated one final time before the Fair begins. We had an amazing 216 guilds submit their information! If you're looking for a guild, please be sure to check for new additions to your server's list, and then come by in-game to meet the guild recruiters in person. If you're a guild recruiter and you didn't submit your info for the list, never fear. You can still show up and meet recruitees. All of the event details are located here. See you at the Fair!

Also, a few changes have been made to the Guild Recruitment Tool to make it a little more user friendly. There is now a filter for players who are looking for guilds to search by, and guilds may now select a minimum character level that they are accepting.

 

Guild List Filter:

Those who are looking to join a guild will now see two buttons at the bottom of the window, "Filter" and "Clear Filter".

Clicking the "Filter" button will bring up a small window within the "Guilds Looking for Members" window. In this window you can choose certain elements that you are looking for in a guild so that the guilds returned to you in the list meet those specific criteria.

You can designate your preferred:

  • Play Style
  • Descriptive Tags - choose up to two to filter by
  • Minimum Level - filter by the minimum character level the guild is accepting
  • Recruiting <Class> - check this box if you only want to see guilds recruiting your class
  • Offers training to new players - check this box if you only want to see guilds who will train new players

Clicking "Clear Filter" will clear the criteria you previously selected.

By default, if you do not use the filter, you will be shown guilds that are recruiting your class, and recruiting players up to ten levels higher than your current level. If there is a large number of guilds who meet those criteria, you will only see a selection of the most active guilds. Recruiters no longer have to be online to appear on the list.

 

Guild Recruiting Window:

One more field has been added to the recruiting window - "Minimum Level". This drop-down box allows your recruiters to select the minimum level of character you are currently accepting. It appears between the "Looking For <Class>" and "Descriptive Tags" fields. Players are now able to search for guilds and include minimum level in their search criteria, so this should allow for better matching of players and guilds.
