Did you know that EverQuest II supports the French, German and Japanese languages and has servers in each of those languages? In fact, all EQII players have access to these servers, as well as the EU English servers and the US servers. If you're not familiar with these servers or would like to know more, read on as we demystify the international EQII servers.

Is EverQuest II fully translated into French, German and Japanese?

Yes. Text and voiceover are translated into French, German and Japanese. Each version is playable in its respective language when connected to French, German and Japanese-language servers.

The French server is called Storms. The German servers are called Innovation and Valor. The Japanese server is called Sebilis.

Can people with the French, German and Japanese-language versions of the game play on English-language servers?

Yes, international players can connect to the U.S. servers. However, when playing on a U.S. server you will not be able to use the Localized Client.

If I purchase the French, German or Japanese-language version of EverQuest II and connect to an English-language server, in which language will I be playing the game?

To play on an English-language server, French, German and Japanese subscribers will have to download the English-language version of the game. When these players connect to an English-language server, all in-game text and commands will appear in English. Due to the size of the files involved, we will not patch voice data into other languages. So French, German and Japanese players on English-language servers will see all text in English but will hear the character voices in their own language.

Can people with the English-language version of the game play on French, German and Japanese-language servers?

Yes. Using the optional patcher will allow English-speaking players to connect to the French, German, and Japanese-language servers as well. But as stated above, the voiceover data will not be patched into other languages. So English-speaking players on French, German and Japanese-language servers will see all text in French, German or Japanese, but will hear the character voices in English.

Can the same EverQuest II subscription be used to connect to English, French, German and Japanese-language servers?

Yes, you can play on any non-premium server with a single EverQuest II subscription. However, character voices will be heard in the language of the version you purchase.

Is the U.K. version of EverQuest II different from the U.S. version?

The U.K. version of EverQuest II is the same as the U.S. version and will connect to the U.S. English-language servers, the EU English-language servers, or the French, German or Japanese servers.

There are two English-language EU servers: Runnyeye and Splitpaw.

Will there be a server hosted in Australia?
