Last week, we took you on a tour of Everfrost and the upcoming changes in Breaking Ground, GU #48. This week we're giving you a glimpse into Veksar. This zone will act as a prelude to The Shadow Odyssey, with the entire dungeon opening up at launch.

Once, a beautiful Iksar vacation spot?

This is what happens when roomates fight...
Originally a resort city for privileged iksar, Veksar sat as a monument to iksar power and arrogance during the Elder Age. During the iksar unification war, Veksar was conquered quickly by the forces of Venril Sathir, which marked a fatal blow against the Kylong tribe. For the next 800 years, Veksar was hailed as the finest of iksar cities, with unmatched style and art in its architecture.
Although Veksar survived the initial destruction of the Sebilisian Empire at the beginning of the End Days, it wasn't to last much longer. Once Trakanon and his followers were released from their prison, the dragon known as Garudon viciously attacked the city, attempting to raze Veksar to rubble. He and his followers toppled the great pillars holding up the city's protective dome, in an attempt to collapse it and expose Veksar itself.

However, Garudon was trapped inside the dome as it fell, and could not escape the dungeon. His troops followed his last instructions, summoning the waters of the lake to encompass the city and submerge it forever beneath the waves.

Veksar was thought lost beneath the Lake of Ill Omen for many years. Since then a tribe of aqua goblins have made the ruins of Veksar their home.

Even more recently, as you can see, some rather overgrown fishmen have made themselves very comfortable indeed!

And now, it's up to you, mighty adventurers, to explore the mystery of this formidable dungeon and prepare for The Shadow Odyssey!
