With The Shadow Odyssey, EQII's fifth expansion, the team has given us several new heritage quests! We managed to bribe a couple of developers and got a few tidbits on two of the new quests!
The Flowing Black Robe This Heritage Quest can be started at level 50. When asked for a "hint" Carlos "Gninja" Mora, who designed this quest, said that players wanted to make sure they had "a way to see things in dim light (hint hint)." |
The Flowing Black Robe was found in Najena’s Dungeon in days past and was once dropped by Najena herself. It became very popular due to its unique looks. |
With the re-discovered Najena’s dungeon in more recent times, players will have the opportunity to adventure directly for the Mistress of Elements herself and possibly be rewarded with one of her glorious robes. Beware though, for along your path will be many who will try to trick you into surrendering your plunder before you can complete your quest for the famous conjuress. Don't fall prey to those who would stand between you and the right to wear one of these priceless symbols of loyalty to Lady Najena. |
The journey to prove yourself worthy will be arduous. Be ready to be tested! For only those who pass Najena's test will be permitted to wear the sign of her favour. Pass the test, and wear the robe proudly. However, fail, and you may need to find your local priest. The lady doesn't reward failure! For those brave enough to attempt to appease Najena, you'll want to search for clues in Lavastorm and Najena's dungeons. |
The Legend of Greenmist Cazic-Thule is angry... You wouldn't like him when he's angry. Especially if you're an iksar who has turned your back on your god. Cazic wants his people back and has revived a loyal worshipper from the Age of Turmoil; The Harbinger. |
Venril Sathir, however, isn't welcoming Cazic's Harbinger with open arms... Quite the opposite, in fact. Venril has spent the last several centuries telling the iksar that he is the living embodiment of the Syllokk, and stealing their worship for himself. |
Venril's subversion of Cazic-Thule's worshippers has angered the god and prompted him to consider unleashing the Greenmist upon his wayward children.
It is up to you, brave adventurers, to aid the Harbinger in his work. Help him to return the iksar to the worship of Cazic-Thule and keep their god from wiping them from the face of Norrath.
The reward for saving the iksar is a high mark of Cazic-Thule's favour. Once wielded by Emperor Rile during the Age of Scale, the Harbinger now bears this sword, and will pass it to you, for your service to his god. |
