The history of Frostfell: Frostfell is a Deepice celebration whose origins are shrouded in mystery. It is widely thought that the festival was started by a demigod who hid gifts of food and other goodies for the citizens of Norrath. No one knows when the tradition first began; it could have been during the Lost Ages when all of Norrath was shrouded in a curse laid by the gods. During this time, no gods bestowed their grace upon Norrathians save one, who in visited Norrath in secret and hid special prizes from the planes about Norrath to aid what was left of the populace. Some historians theorize that it may even have been Quellious in disguise. Either way, over the years it has developed into a tradition celebrated by all Norrathians. The Dark Elves and other evil races also participate in this festival. No one really knows why, it could just be that everyone loves to get presents. Naturally, to preserve their image, they maintain that they aren't really receiving gifts, but rewards earned through their own superior skills. Frostfell has four significant days: Kinship Day - A time for families and friends to spend together, celebrating and renewing bonds; Feasting Day - A shared day of feasting on all the bounty Norrathians have collected throughout the year (a favourite day of halflings!); Gifting Day - Everyone gives and receives presents; Frostfell Day - The final day of celebration, spent in song (or for those races who can't be seen singing, quiet contemplation), parades, dancing, and other fun winter activities. | Returning Features: - Frostfell quests available in Qeynos, Freeport, Kelethin, Neriak, Gorowyn, and the Frostfell Village.
