There are a ton of decorating options available in EverQuest II. With those options come endless ways to use them to create amazing homes in-game. We are blessed with many creative and innovative players in our community! This week: Ravenns's home at 5 Karana in South Qeynos on the Antonia Bayle server.

What was your inspiration for this home?

I wanted to make a home that I would love living in.

What are your favourite materials to work with in-game to create certain effects (waterfalls, stairs, grottos, aquariums, etc)?

Love working with the new colorful carpets and room dividers. While the floor plans might be the same, you can give them your personal touches and flairs with these. Also with all the new rich colors, people don't mind spending more time at home.

How long did this home take?

Took a couple of weeks to finish the main rooms, while the upstairs chessboard took longer, while we looked for the life sized pieces we wanted to use.

Did you plan it with a certain story in mind, or did it just grow out of what you had on hand or what your character would want in their home?

This is a home that the busy paladin and his mystic wife love coming home to every evening. It has become a tradition that we end our evening at our home.

How many items did you end up using and was it hard to keep within the limits?

The pocket expander helped, but keeping in the limits is always a challenge. The addition of the new room in the house became a challenge of finding little knick knacks that we could do without, that would not effect the house dynamics. Also with the monthly City Festivals, there are so many nice items that we want to add.

What decorating tips do you have for your fellow decorators (veteran or newbies)?

The shift, control & alt buttons are your friend. Being able to resize objects, lift and turn in increments has been a lot of help.

What one thing would you like to be able to build in-game if you could have all the materials you wanted and item limits weren't a constraint?

I think I would like more fish plushies to make a larger aquarium.

If you change your decorations seasonally, what is your favourite time of year for decorations?

Frostfell, definitely!
